Nikki Peele moved to a D.C. neighborhood East of the Anacostia River roughly a decade ago. For much of that time, she’s documented life in Ward 8 on her blog – and maintained a presence on social media that pushes back against common misconceptions about the side of the city where she lives. Kojo chats with Peele about how the reality of life in that part of D.C. squares with many of the commonly held perceptions of neighborhoods there.
