The Baltimore Sun recently released the results of a six-month investigation into the use of Tasers by police in Maryland. The paper reported widespread unsafe use, and inconsistent and unenforced guidelines. Several of the recent deadly Taser incidents in Maryland took place in Montgomery County, prompting the county government to conduct a review. We chat with a reporter behind the investigation about the role Tasers play in Maryland policing.
