Montgomery County plans to mount 400 more automated cameras on school buses to capture drivers who violate the law against passing them. Despite the law — and the 32,000 violations captured by cameras last school year — county officials say too many people are still ignoring the requirement to stop when a bus’ red lights are flashing and its stop sign is engaged.
