On primary election day, Marylanders elected former NAACP chief Ben Jealous as the Democratic nominee to take on Governor Larry Hogan in November. In Prince George’s County, the county’s state’s attorney Angela Alsobrooks won as the Democratic nominee for County Executive. David Trone and Amie Hoeber came out on top in the Democratic and Republican primary’s for Maryland’s sixth Congressional district. But votes are still being counted in Montgomery County, where the race for Executive is still too close to call.
