Virginia’s General Assembly voted last Wednesday to expand Medicaid, becoming the first state to do so under President Trump. Beginning no later than January 1st, roughly 400,000 more of Virginians will be eligible for Medicaid. This bill comes after years of resistance from Republicans, reflecting a changing political reality in the Commonwealth. Kojo discusses what will it mean for Virginians with healthcare advocates.
