Journalists are often tasked with covering traumatic events. This proximity to danger and death can inflict mental scars on reporters — particularly those who deal with it on a daily basis. We talk with a local journalist who suffered an emotional crisis after the September 11, 2001 attacks — and later went on to make a film about how trauma affects his profession.
