But it’s now impossible to measure the influence Dr. Cathey had on generations of gardeners, non-gardeners, and radio listeners, as the longtime director of the US National Arboretum, President Emeritus of the American Horticultural Association, and gardening show radio host. We remember this warm, engaging, dapper, and dedicated man.
