It’s a common scene in European cities: the town square, complete with open-air cafes, shops, and lots of people. But such squares and piazzas are more rare in our country, even though we tend to like the idea in principle. Kojo explores why that is and considers what works and what doesn’t when it comes to public space in our cities and suburbs.
