At 29,035 feet Mount Everest is the world’s highest peak. But Annapurna- at 26,545 feet- is far more deadly, claiming the lives of half its would-be climbers. Ed Viesturs climbed them both, and twelve of the world’s other highest peaks. He joins Kojo to discuss his passion for climbing, and his personal motto: “Getting to the top is optional. Getting down is mandatory”.
