The first stop on the road to the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate in Maryland is Kojoland.

On the March 18th edition of the Politics Hour, Kojo Nnamdi and Tom Sherwood will moderate the first official debate for the Democratic candidates looking to replace longtime U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D).

The two leading contenders, according to recent polls, are known quantities in the D.C. area: Donna Edwards and Chris Van Hollen. Both currently hold seats in the U.S. House of Representatives in districts next door to the nation’s capital – and now they’re competing to convince Democrats across the state they offer the most progressive choice on the ballot.

Kojo and Tom will come to the debate with plenty of questions about how the candidates may differ on critical issues – from pocketbook matters to foreign policy. But what will truly make the Politics Hour debate different from the others on the schedule is YOU.

We’d like to know what questions you would ask the candidates, if you had the chance. And we’d like to get your voice on the air during the debate itself.

Leave your debate questions here. They’ll be reviewed by the staff at the Kojo Nnamdi Show and at WAMU 88.5 news. We’ll then contact those who’ve submitted questions that clear the bar for air about recording those questions in their own voices.

It’s going to be a fun March in Kojoland, and it all starts right here with you.

Let’s do this.
