Frank Batten Sr. created the Weather Channel in 1982, despite the ridicule of those who doubted whether a 24-hour weather channel could succeed. The network sold in 2008 for $3.5 billion to NBC Universal. But Batten was also a pioneer in other ways - building a media empire that challenged segregation in the South, among other things. We explore the life of an unusual media mogul.
