It's one of the most dynamic suburban counties in our region-- home to diverse neighborhoods and the largest African American middle class community in the country. But Prince George's County doesn't always make it into the headlines of local newscasts and papers. We talk with local bloggers about their communities.

I live in Mitchellville and often hear about big development proposals only to be disappointed to see a year later that the sign still sits there and I can't find anything on updates. I think your blog sites are really vital to hear news in the area. I only wish there were bloggers in my area focusing with the amount of detail that your sites do. It was through CHVBlog that I found out about the Cleverly & Morgan Blvd potential weekend closures.

Communities that take care of their own rarely have incidents of police dispensing beat-downs on their residents.

If community blogging promotes "neighborly behavior" the biggest piece of the puzzle has been found.
