Every four years, committees get together to draft the platforms of the Democratic and Republican national conventions. And those documents are usually quickly forgotten by all but the most die-hard political insiders. But this year, lots of people are commenting on the Republicans' platform -- because of how it differs with the views of GOP presidential candidate John McCain.
