Government-Media Relations

Listen Monday, Jan. 24, 2005 at 1:06 p.m. in Politics

Conservative black columnist Armstrong Williams recently became a lightning rod for criticism after it was revealed that he had been contracted to promote the Bush administration’s education reform plan. In the wake of what's been dubbed a “pay to play propaganda” controversy, we explore the increasingly blurred line between government public relations and news.

Audio archives, transcripts and CDs will be available approximately 15 minutes after the program ends.
