African American Businesswomen

Listen Wednesday, May. 5, 2004 at 1:06 p.m. in Leisure & Lifestyle

Most people haven't heard of Ann Lowe, but she arguably designed perhaps the most famous wedding dress in history -- the dress Jackie wore when marrying John Kennedy. Kojo takes a look at the life of Ms. Lowe and some 21 other African American business women who made contributions to American fashion and business, but whose names have largely been lost to history.

Audio archives, transcripts and CDs will be available approximately 15 minutes after the program ends.
