Some computer buyers decry the lack of continuing support from computer manufacturers. Customers think defects should be corrected for an extended period after the computer is purchased. After all, auto manufacturers don't run away from auto defects -- even when it is long after the auto was manufactured.
(65%) A. Absolutely yes. Defects should be fixed for the life of the PC.
(12%) B. Defects should be fixed for at least five years.
(8%) C. Defects should be fixed for the warranty period (3 or 12 months) only.
(3%) D. Lack of support is the price we pay for low prices.
(7%) E. Software defects should be the responsibility of the software maker.
(5%) F. If we modified cars like we modify PCs the auto manufacturers would run too.
