Racial Privacy Initiative

Listen Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003 at 1:16 p.m. in Society

A look at Proposition 54, which would ban California state and local governments from collecting racial data. Proponents of the initiative call it the first step towards a color-blind society. Opponents like Julian Bond say it's a "perverse application of don't ask, don't tell."

Audio archives, transcripts and CDs will be available approximately 15 minutes after the program ends.
