The United States rejoined the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) yesterday after a nineteen year absence. We’ll look at the organization’s goal of preserving tangible and intangible cultural heritage. And explore how the group overcame the US’s complaints of years past — including previous charges of mismanagement, corruption and an anti-American bias.
