We Won a James Beard Foundation Award!

Thanks to the James Beard Foundation for recognizing our 2009 food programming at the first part of their annual awards ceremony in New York City Sunday. Thanks also to our great guests throughout the past year who've shared their love for food, their culinary knowledge, and, of course, their terrific recipes.
Our food shows are some of our favorite to produce, in large part because we love hearing from you about your favorite local restaurants, dishes, recipes and cooking experiences. If you missed some of our shows, which usually air on Wednesdays, you can check them out on our food topic page.
One of our most popular food series this year was our Local Restaurant World Tour programming, in which we focused on one ethnic cuisine per show and explored its local incarnations, flavor profile, and culinary history. We've also put together a map of local restaurants that both our experts and listeners have recommended as the best in the area.
