Will ‘The Wharf’ Transform D.C.’s Waterfront Space?

The first phase of a massive redevelopment of Washington's Southwest waterfront is opening this week. The Wharf aims to activate this piece of D.C.'s waterfront space with housing, retail, restaurants from celebrity chefs and new music venues. But there are still questions about who will benefit from what's coming - and how the city's built environment interacts with waterways around it.
