Just several decades ago, farms lined the road that connected Rockville to Washington, DC. But as the post-war construction boom subsumed Montgomery County, Rockville Pike became a massive retail destination with strip malls lining the road on both sides for miles. Both the City of Rockville and Montgomery County see a lot of potential for redevelopment and have an eye to add more transit options to one of the busiest corridors in the county.
