Potomac Yard’s Future Metro Stop Loses an Entrance, Angering Residents And Businesses

City leaders in Alexandria have known since last July that the latest plans for the new Potomac Yard Metro stop eliminated the southern entrance, but those changes were only made public recently, sparking anger among residents and businesses who say a number of projects hinged on proximity to Metro.

In Tone Deaf Ads, Chocolate City Is Now Whitewashed Washington

Washingtonian Magazine's recent marketing campaign advertised shirts that said "I'm Not A Tourist. I Live Here." In a once-predominantly black city that is contending with shifting demographics as well as gentrification, the initial images, which featured no black residents, elicited fury on social media.
