Juvenile Crime and the Courts

Listen Wednesday, Apr. 1, 2009 at 12:06 p.m. in Law, Society

Every year, thousands of young people come into direct contact with the juvenile criminal system in the District. Most cases end up in family court, where judges make critical decisions about detention and rehabilitation. Kojo speaks with Judge Lee Satterfield, Chief Judge of D.C. Superior Court, about the role courts can play to address the causes and consequences of crime committed by young people.
