Dissent in the AFL-CIO

Listen Monday, Jun. 20, 2005 at 12:06 p.m. in Economy, Politics

With union membership at just 12.5 percent of the American workforce, organized labor is divided about the future of the movement. Defying calls for unity within the AFL-CIO, five dissident unions last week announced the creation of an independent coalition, the latest escalation in a fight some think will split the federation. Join Kojo for a discussion on the future of organized labor.

Audio archives, transcripts and CDs will be available approximately 15 minutes after the program ends.
