Transporting Hazardous Materials

Listen Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005 at 12:06 p.m. in Economy, Science
Guest host: Frank Stasio

Citing security concerns, the D.C. Council temporarily banned the transport of certain hazardous materials within two miles of the Capitol. We look at this policy debate, but also examine what constitutes a "hazmat," which businesses rely on them, how they're transported, and what this ban means for our local economy.

Audio archives, transcripts and CDs will be available approximately 15 minutes after the program ends.
